Landmark Projects


BSRM has left its imprints in numerous structures in the country which could be portrayed as Landmark. This is the infrastructure of an emerging nation, Bridges, Flyovers, Airports, Power Plants, and Fertilizer Factories. We are proud they have BSRM inside them.

The structures we show on this section span a period of nearly 40 years. It is a snapshot of the country emerging from the ravages of the liberation war and traces the development of the young nation.




The Padma Bridge, a multipurpose road-rail bridge across the Padma River, is being constructed in Bangladesh. When completed, it will be the largest bridge in Bangladesh and the first fixed river crossing for road traffic. It will connect Louhajong, Munshiganj to Shariatpur and Madaripur, linking the south-west of the country, to northern and eastern regions.

BSRM is the supplier of steel in this project and the only company to produce 50 mm Rod for Padma Bridge.



Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is an under-construction 2.4 GWe nuclear power plant in Bangladesh. The nuclear power plant is being constructed at Rooppur (Rupppur), adjoining Paksey, in the Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna District, on the bank of the river Padma, 87 miles (140 km) west of Dhaka, in the northwest of the country. It will be the country’s first nuclear power plant, and the first of two units are expected to go into operation in 2023. It is being built by the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.The proud steel supplier of this project is BSRM.



Bangabandhu Tunnel is the first under-construction underwater expressway tunnel in the port city of Chittagong, Bangladesh under the Karnaphuli river. The tunnel length is 3.4 kilometres (2.1 mi) and width 10 metres (33 ft). The tunnel is expected to be completed in 2020. The tunnel will be the first of its kind in Bangladesh and is expected to improve the Dhaka -Chittagong -Cox’s Bazar highway network. A Chinese company was selected to construct it. Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit the construction site of the Karnaphuli Tunnel.

BSRM’s product is being used to build this amazing project.



Kalna Bridge is the Bangladesh’s first 6-lane bridge over Madhumati River. The dream bridge connects Narail, Khulna, Magura, Satkhira, Chuadanga, Jessore, and Jhenidah districts. The construction of Kalna Bridge filled up the last missing link of Asian Highway-1 route and cut the distance between Dhaka and Jashore significantly. The length of the bridge is 690 meters and the width is 27.1 meters. The six-lane connecting road on both sides is about 4 and half kilometers.
BSRM has supplied 87% of the Rods used in this bridge.


Three Glorious Landmarks on the Path to a Safer Nation

These bridges are essential veins for the country’s foreign trade and economic development. They are playing a vital role in economic development of our country by facilitating the transportation of Dhaka – Chottagram Highway.

The 1 KM long country’s first cable-stayed bridge over the Karnaphuli river, Chittagong connects the port city to the tourist resort of Cox’s Bazar. This project has BSRM Xtreme inside.



Special Works Organization (SWO), Bangladesh Army, LGED & Dhaka WASA jointly constructed the 8.8Km express road along with service roads & bridges in Hatirjheel and Begunbari Khal, Dhaka. This mega project has BSRM Xtreme inside.



The Moghbazar – Mouchak Flyover has been built to facilitate north-south traffic movement of Dhaka by increasing the traffic carrying capacity of Satrasta, FDC, Moghbazar, Mouchak, Shanti Nagar, Malibag road and Moghbazar, Malibag two rail intersections. The total length of the Flyover will be about 8.25 km.This most successful project is now contributing to reduce the traffic jam of Dhaka. This is another footstep of BSRM in building a safer nation.


The 11 KM long flyover in Jatrabari, Dhaka of Orion Group under the Public Private Partnership with the Govt. of Bangladesh was constructed by Simplex Infrastructure Ltd., India. BSRM is the proud construction partner of this landmark project.
