Livelihood

BSRM has been implementing various types of rural livelihood program which has resulted in minimizing the economic vulnerability and increased their access to income generating opportunities on a sustainable basis. With the support of some partner agencies, we are implementing several livelihood promotion projects for empowerment of communities like women, marginalized villagers and farmers. These projects mainly focus on capacity building, skill upgradations, creating community assets, enhancing technical know-how, networking and building community based leader. BSRM’s livelihood and women empowerment programs are in concurrent with Sustainable Development Goals-8: Decent Work and Economic Growth to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Health

The backbone of a society is healthy population who are fit both physically and mentally. Realizing the fact, BSRM continuously putting combined effort in support with reputed organizations to make good health affordable and accessible to the local communities. Good Health and Well Being is identified as one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (Goal 3). We work towards better health outcomes through a number of initiatives designed to create and enhance health services and spread awareness about public health programs. We at BSRM believe that good health should be a right rather than a luxury for people from all walks of life. We are involved in making available safe, potable drinking water, providing basic healthcare benefits, managing the interest of differently abled and addressing the need who are suffering from malnutrition.

Nature Conservation

We at BSRM believe that green environment is essential to achieve ecological balance and address climate change issue. As a part of philanthropic effort, BSRM is dedicated to conserve the nature, taking up a number of projects with NGO’s. All the unutilized land and property within BSRM is being used for tree plantation and organic farming. Some sustainable integrated farming projects taken up with farmers to increase their capacity and enhance productivity. The framers are being trained for skill enhancement. Deploying the skills into practice they are now growing more crops which is supporting them with food security and improved livelihood.

People with Special Needs

We put our effort towards improved health outcomes through a number of initiatives designed to create and enhance health services for people with special needs. BSRM undertaken number of projects to benefit persons with disabilities ensuring the beneficiaries could lead a dignified life and play important roles to serve the community. With the help of execution partners, we provide vocational training to ensure economic rehabilitation, poverty alleviation and empowerment. Emphasis given on confidence building, education, vocational training and employment to promote empowerment of disabled youth female and male.

Water & Electricity

Fresh drinking water and electricity are basic human rights in the world we live in. But due to lack of awareness, poor governance and infrastructural limitations every year millions of people, most of them are children, suffer from diseases associated with water scarcity. BSRM, in its effort to ensure safe drinking water and electricity, has taken up a number of initiatives and measures. In association with some partnering agencies, we are ensuring regular supply of saline-free safe drinking water, water for household works, electricity from solar panels. This is creating opportunities for women to engage in income generating works. School children can go to school instead of being involved in water fetching activity from nearby spring.

Education

Aiming to fulfill our commitment by life changing community activities, BSRM has been contributing to the education sector, with special focus on the underprivileged children from ultra-poor urban and rural families. The activities in the education field directly adheres to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning. The main goal is to extend helping hand to the low-income parents and give an opportunity for the meritorious children to pursue education, eventually finding a way to a prosperous and meaningful life. The initiatives will have direct impact on low income parents and gives opportunity for hard working meritorious kids to pursue study, build an honest and meaning life.

Response to Crisis

BSRM being a socially responsible organization feel the necessity to respond to situations and stand by the people when the humanity is at grave crisis. Whatever might be the reason of crisis, be it natural disaster or be it aftermath of an unpredictable event or outbreak of pandemic, we try our level best to come forward to help the affected people and community at large. Our aid goes to flood affected people in the form of distribution of emergency food items, daily necessities, medicines and house building essentials. On the other hand when COVID situation was at its peak, BSRM supplied high flow nasal cannula, oxygen cylinders, oxyflow meters, pulse oximeters, non-rebreathing masks and central oxygen system. BSRM also distributed PPEs, masks, oxygen cylinders, hand sanitizers and other necessary health kits in different public and private healthcare facilities.
