BSRM is delighted to announce its achievement as Champion in the Engineering Project of The Year (Large) Category at the Bangladesh Project Management Awards 2024. This esteemed award recognizes the “Feni River Water Intake and Treatment System for Industrial Use” project, an innovative effort to secure sustainable water resources for industrial operations. Through this project, water is collected from the Feni River at a strategically constructed intake, stored for settlement, transported to the plant, and treated for industrial use. This initiative not only ensures a reliable water supply for BSRM’s operations but also supports our commitment to conserving underground aquifers by reducing dependency on groundwater sources.
The accolade was presented by PMI Bangladesh Chapter, an affiliate of the globally renowned Project Management Institute-USA, which promotes and acknowledges projects and organizations demonstrating excellence in project management practices. This year, over thirty projects competed, with each submission rigorously evaluated by a distinguished Jury panel from Bangladesh, India, and Sri Lanka, bringing together expertise from across South Asia.
During the awards ceremony, held at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka on 9th November 2024, the honor was handed over to Mr. Sanjay Mukundbhai Thakkar, General Manager Strategic Projects; Mr. Abdul Qadir Zohair, Manager Strategic Projects; and Mr. Mohammed Harun Rashid, the Project Manager. Mr. Muhammad Moinul Hossain, Mr. Soybal Mitra, and Mr. Md. Aliullah Sujan from the Strategic Projects Department, who showcased the project in the competition, were also present at the event.
BSRM is proud of this accomplishment, marking the second consecutive year we have been awarded this title, a testament to our dedication to innovative, sustainable project management and environmental stewardship.
